10 Feb Jessica Greentree
Jessica is a fun and energetic Therapy Assistant based in our Kingswood clinic. She loves to make people smile and laugh. Jessica is a very positive person and absolutely loves to push and motivate others to be the best that they can be. She is both respectful and empathetic.
Jessica loves working with kids as she sees herself as a big kid! She believes every child deserves to reach their full potential and this is a huge motivating factor for her. Jessica finds it upsetting to see a child withdraw from an activity because they are having difficulty or are unable to complete a task which can have a significant impact on their social and emotional wellbeing. Seeing the smiles and excitement on both a child and parents face when they achieve a new skill makes Jessica so happy and she finds it incredibly rewarding.
Jessica has a specific interest in sensory regulation as she believes it is such an important skill in order for children to be able to learn and retain information. She also enjoys working on fine and gross motor skills as these skills are so important not only academically but also socially at school and playing sport with friends.
Jessica is currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Western Sydney University. During her time she has conducted placements at a private practice, in a hospital setting and also worked on a community project where she made a gross motor program for year 1 and 2 students. You may also have seen Jessica around our Chatterbox clinic doing weekly observations to grow and develop her skills further.
A fun fact about Jessica is she is a competitive dressage rider and has owned 2 horses since she was 7 years old. In her spare time Jessica enjoys riding and training her horses, going to the gym, spending time with her family and playing games with her two nieces.
